great place stayed here 9/29-10/1/11

My family of 10 stayed her while we attended a wedding in Charleston Everyone had a wonderful time. The younger ones were able to spend a day at the beach and the access was really close. The weather was nice. They enjoyed bike riding and shopping and the restaurants right down the road. I certainly would highly recommend this place to everyone. It was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cutlery. The owners were very easy to work with.

Totally Outstanding Experience

In town for my Son's wedding and decided to take this first experience in renting a home for all to stay during their various arrival and departures. The owners were terrific to work with, the house was exactly as advertised (and more), and everyone enjoyed being able to spend a simple time together during a very special occasion...only wish the weather was better to be able to take advantage of the beach location. Would absolutely try to get this property again in the future if I had the opportunity!

Excellent beach home :-)

This home is perfect. We have a variety of ages from 6 months to 67 years old (12 of us in all) Fenced in back yard is perfect for the dogs and the kids. The beach is literally across the street. About 7 blocks to the board walk and the pier. Had the amazing opportunity of watching a baby sea turtle make his way into the ocean. The owner was wonderful to deal with. Excellent vacation spot!!!!

WONDERFUL WEEK @ THE BEACH

This beach house was perfect for our family & 3 dogs. I chose this place based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Very clean - all the rooms were just like the photos, even the view of the ocean. Great front porch. Good layout of the house. Rooms nice size & airy. All said beds very comfy. Well maintained property inside & out. Nice fenced backyard w/shade. We would definitely recommend this property even if you are not a dog lover. Our stay was very enjoyable. First time @ Folly - lots of fun!!

This was our sixth annual trip to Folly Beach & was by far the best accommmodation weve had,clean,well equipped & easy access to the beach. Would definitely re-book again for next year if the opportunity arises.

Fantastic!

We just returned from 4 nights at this property. It was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 dogs. The fenced back yard was great for the pups to run in. The front porch was great for listening to the ocean and having coffee in the morning. It had tons of room to roam inside. Close to the beach and downtown Folly as well as Charleston. We'll be back for sure! Thank you to the friendly owners for a great vacation spot!!

Great Home to Share with 2 Families!

We had a fabulous relaxing week with our friends at this home! We had 2 families in the home comfortably, 4 adults and 6 teens. The home was clean and the porch was such a relaxing place to have a meal, read a book or just visit on. Our teenagers were able to ride the bikes on the property to town and they loved searching for crabs at night on the beach which was a very short walk away. Being able to bring our dogs was such a nice surprise, we were able to bring them to the beach in early April too! Bert's party store just past downtown had great sandwiches and a unique selection of foods and supplies! The owner was available when needed and made sure we were comfortable. We will definitely return!

Great house for family and inlaws

Great location, and beautiful view of ocean from porch and kitchen. Would recommend this for multiple families. Great backyard for our dogs.

Great Location,Yard For Dogs, Comfortable

We had 7 adults and two dogs on our vacation. Bedroom layout worked great for our group and number of bathrooms. Our dogs loved laying on the porch or sniffing around in the yard when we weren't down on the beach. The view of the ocean was great and beach access was just two houses down. Just a couple of things that need attention, the most important being that the dishwasher probably needs a new water pump and we left a note for the owner upon departure. Doubt he had been made aware previously. We bailed out excess water before running it each time just in case it might overflow. The bikes are a bit rough as was described and the tires were flat, but James brought a new air pump that day for us. One of the five is missing a pedal, but otherwise they all seem to work just fine. Would love it if one or two had a basket for quick trips to Berts for minor shopping needs. Would say that the house only sleeps 9 comfortably if you have all adults or family with teens. We would definitely stay at this house again and we love Folly Beach!

Owner's Response:

I fixed the dishwasher that Saturday. The discharge hose was blocked. Yes, the bikes are pretty rusty. I probably fix one every other week, and try to keep 3 or 4 working. There is sleeping room for 9 on beds in bedrooms, as stated in the listing. The remaining 4 places are a pull out sofa and a fouton, probably only suitable for kids. The upstairs air conditioning is being replaced today. It was working, but old and the beach is hard on air conditioners. Also, we just replaced all of the old TVs, so we have 6 digital HD TVs. Comcast promises they are going to upgrade the cable package soon ( They showed up once but left with a promise to re-schedule; big surprise).
