Big, Comfortable Cabin Great for Big Groups

We did a family trip to Big Bear and needed a cabin that would fit 4 couples, 4 children and one baby. It worked out so that the kids shared rooms and the adults each had their own private room. There were plenty of bathrooms, although the kids all wanted to use the master as it is HUGE. The cabin is clean, nice, comfortable and has great amenities (pool table, cable TV, internet, spa, gaming console, etc). It also helps that it isn't too far from the slopes. The kitchen is supplied with dishes and pots/pans, but there aren't many condiments so I'd bring your own (i.e. ketchup). Furthermore the owners were easy to work with and quick to respond to my inquiries. I would definitely stay here again if we had another group trip to Big Bear!

Clean and roomy

This place was bigger than expected with good sized bedrooms, an argument can be made the master bedroom is TOO big. We had four family's and never had any issues on space. The backyard made it easy to let the kids play in the snow with out too much worry of them wondering off. This was our 4th annual trip, and this might be the only cabin we come back too for another visit.

GREAT CABIN, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT PRICE!!!

Only good things to say about this cabin and it's owners. Malia was very nice and accommodating. Any questions we had, she was very prompt and informative in her responses.

The cabin was AWESOME!!! We went with 5 families with kids and maxed out the occupancy. Everybody was amazed and truly felt like they were on a vacation. There was plenty of rooms and beds for everybody. There were even sleds in the garage for our use. The kids as well as the adults loved it and can't wait to go again. They even starting looking around for cabins to buy, they loved it so much.

The weekend we went was perfect. It snowed every night, so the next morning there was fresh powder on the mountains. The location was good, in a culdisac with some very nice houses. Very quiet, and peaceful. The house had heaters and fireplaces that kept the house very warm, even when it was 1 degree outside.

The kitchen has plenty of room for many people to cook. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you need regardless of what you plan on cooking. And if you're not sure, you can email Malia and she will promptly let you know. The cabin was very well kept and had a t.v. in almost every room. You can't go wrong with this cabin. Don't forget about the jacuzzi...

We would highly recommend it and hopefully get to come back.

Great vacation retreat when staying in Big Bear!

Thank you Mike and Malia for a wonderful experience. I've rented a number of houses/condos over the years but never felt compelled to write a review. The process was seamless from the initial inquiry to the return of my security deposit. Client service is integral to a great experience and they provided it in spades (e.g., they were extremely courteous and patient with all inquiries and responded promptly). Now to the house.

The house is conveniently located at the end of a cul-de-sac, which is perfect for privacy or if you have little ones, and was affectionately referred to as "the mansion" by the kids. You are greeted with an informational binder with all the information you need regarding the house and surrounding amenities. The house is loaded throughout with the conveniences of current technology (including wi-fi) for all the entertainment you need. However, if old school entertainment is what you're looking for, you can reminisce over a game of pool or hang out in the jacuzzi (which we unfortunately did not get to do). We have young ones so their home entertainment came from watching Netflix, playing video games, and building a snowman/igloo in the spacious backyard. Our outdoors adventures were very convenient because Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, and Big Bear Snow Play (tubing) are only minutes away.

We were able to gather our family under one roof. However, we were also able to enjoy our own space, which is also integral to a peaceful family gathering for my family (if you know what I mean). We will definitely reach out to you if we plan another family gathering and have recommended your place to friends. Thank you again Mike and Malia for the great experience!

We maxed out the occupancy with 16. It was amazing that 5 women could all work together in the kitchen and not bump into each other. The home is so spacious that the kids and adults could all be in the house and not be in each other's space. The appliances and beds were all high quality. We had a blast, especially since it snowed 14 inches the day before we came up.

Great for large gatherings

SPACIOUS AND CLEAN: Maxed out with 10 adults and 6 kids, but still felt spacious. The kitchen/living/tv rooms create a big open space. The kitchen layout is great for accommodating lots of cooks and helpers. The dining table fit about 10-12 comfortably so if you're wanting a meal all together, some will have to sit at the kitchen bar. For the times you need a little privacy, there's plenty of space to find your own little nook. The home, furnishings, appliances all seem pretty new.

KITCHEN: We ate in the entire time and the kitchen was well stocked. All the hardware, as well as spices, oils, soaps, paper towels, garbage bags. So just bring the main food items and your favorite condiments and you should have everything you need.

BEDROOMS: The master is HUGE and is good for the bigger family in your party. The other 4 bedrooms are standard size so you can squeeze in a small family. Enough beds and mattresses to make something work. There is enough separation between the bedrooms and the living area so that kids could go to sleep while adults play late into the night!

ENTERTAINMENT: Outdoor hot tub was a treat. Directv, Computer, Playstation, Xbox (though only the games that come standard on the boxes). A dozen or so board games. The yard is relatively small for the size of the house, so you won't be able to play football with the kids. A game room with a ping pong table would've put this home over the top... the garage is huge (hint, hint)

NEIGHBORHOOD: It's a newer residential area, so it feels more like the suburbs than the mountains. But the homes are beautiful so you'll feel pampered. Just homes within walking distance. But very close to Snow Summit and major grocery stores. If you're driving from the south (eg, LA), consider taking I-15 towards Victorville and come in from the east side... adds a little mileage, but much less winding roads and traffic... this makes a little more sense since the house is on the east side of the lake.

LAUNDRY AND LINENS: Nice washing machine/dryer with soap and supplies. Bed linens were all provided and tasteful! Nice towels were provided, but you may want to bring extra if you will be using the hot tub a lot or don't want to be doing laundry.

OWNERS: Very responsive and clear, both during our decision-making process as well as during our stay. The process was essentially all via email and they made it very pain-free. We had some questions during our stay and they responded promptly.

Can't wait to go back!!

Wonderful property, great location, and spacious inside and out. Although we had a great visit in the winter and enjoyed the snow I can't wait to get back in the summer and experience a whole other side of Big Bear. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else anymore.
