We are the last and seventh of 6 other properties located on a private Cul-de-Sac, its like absolute peace in the city center and ONLY up hill one small city block to ALL OF THE ACTION of Sosua. A car rental is NOT required, however as we are happy to supply the budget traveler a discounted car rental from our http://www.perlarentacar.com fleet of economy cars. Everything is within walking distance; We are behind Popular bank and Bailey's restaurant, with Club 59, Classico, Latino Club, El Flow and other discos, bar, and shops and the Sosua Bay Grand Casino are all seconds away.
Perla de Sosua consist of Studios, 1 Bedrooms and 2 Bedrooms vacation condos, apartments type hotel rooms. Most with cooking facilities or kitchens, Some with full sized living rooms, balconies and separate dining rooms and all have air conditioned bedrooms, safes, ceiling fans. linen, and cleaning services provided, pool and community terrace on premises, along with free wireless internet access and free telephone calls to the USA and Canada

Perla de Sosua
I stayed at this establishment for 12 days in July. True it is a no frills apartment but everything was neat, clean and within a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff especially Pablo was great!!! He really took care of us. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the staff made us feel welcome. It was close to ATM's, restaurants, supermarkets, and night life if thats what your looking for. I was never in fear as we walked everywhere we needed to go....and I felt safe. As I said it is really no frills....but nice and comfortable. The only suggestion I would have is there were not enough appliances in the kitchen. No coffee pot, microwave and etc. I am making plans to return sometime in January and I in all probablitity will stay there again. But of course it always depends on pricing.
Know what you're renting people...
I've been going to Perla for about 5 years. I've stayed at other places in the DR and let me tell you some of these places are complete dumps! Perla is a EXCELLENT option for the budget consicience visitor that wants to take advantage of being able to bring back locals(can't do that at an all-inclusive without paying) at an affordable price. This place is in a Great area where, it is within 5 minutes walking distance to EVERYTHING yet,just hidden enough so you don't get all of the noise from the main st. a few minutes away. Brent's staff does a GREAT job and I feel are honest as well. I took advantage of the FREE lunch(was delish!!) and the FREE phone calls back home. If you are looking for an all-inclusive type of vacation this place isn't for you. But if you want to come and go as you please in a safe and secure location then I highly reccomend this place. Think of it as renting an Apartment for the week.Sorry Brent but I always hoped this place would kind of remain a bit of a secret so I can selfishly always get a room! ..Keep up the Great job Brent and staff!
Great stay for a budget minded person
Ok so first off this is not a resort so if thats what your looking for its not for you. Perla de Sosua is for the person who is looking for a budget place to stay that is clean, secure (needed 3 keys to get from the front gate to your room) and CHICA friendly.
It was my first time in Sosua and I was not disappointed. Talking to people in other spots I heard stories of roosters, barking dogs and other noises during the night. Perla de Sosua was quiet. The staff was friendly, (thanx for the taxi tip Dennis!) and always available. Its also located right behind the popular bank so getting Pecos was not a problem.
About a 5 min walk to the beach or the strip. Also no chicas hanging on the property.
Perla de Sosua
Spent another week at Perla de Sosua in April 2013. When in Sosua its the only place I will stay. It is close to the beach, night life, restaurants and what ever you are looking for. It is a 5 minute walk to what ever you want to do. It is safe, conveinant, clean and a real bargain. The staff is friendly and accomodate whatever needs you have. A nice twist since my last visit was the Dominican meal that is provided during the week. Brent and his staff make sure you are comfortable and will do whatever is possible to make your stay a good and pleasant one. As I said before......its the only place I will stay when I am in Sosua. Keep up the good work Brent!!!
