Villa Velaire, recently renovated and completely redecorated in September of 2013, uses an eclectic mix of British West Indies and Balinese design to harmonize with both the Caribbean style architecture and the tropical location.
Just inside the entry at Villa Velaire, off to the right is the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Should you choose to stay in and prepare breakfast, an afternoon cocktail or dinner - it won't be such a chore, as you will find all the comforts of home - a full size refrigerator, four- burner range/stove, dishwasher, blender, sauté pans etc.
Just past the kitchen stands the open floor living and dining area, the heart of this villa. Casual fabrics were used for a more relaxed feel, focusing on quality and comfort - Many of the furnishing in both the living and dining area were brought in from Bali with added wicker accents to define the transitional style.
Just beyond the living and dining room stands a 10 foot deep covered outside terrace. The covered terrace serves as a sitting and dining space, perfect for a respite from the afternoon sun or alfresco dining with the most magnificent views. For the sun worshipers, there are four teak lounge chairs to enjoy relaxing by the private pool, watching the cruise ships sail away or just listening to the sound of breaking waves along the cliffs. By night, enjoy a favorite glass of wine, stretch out and stargaze.
Back inside the villa, on the second floor, you will find the two air-conditioned king suites widely separated for exceptional privacy (perfect for couples traveling together). Both bedrooms feature en suite baths and custom designed four post king-size beds. The high vaulted ceiling imparts a grand sense of scale and spaciousness. Attached to the second bedroom is the meditation/massage room and private balcony overlooking the pool terrace and Caribbean. Call one of the many island massage therapists for your private in-home massage - Can you think of a better way to start your vacation.
