THIS WAS A LAST MINUTE & SHORT STAY...BUT LOVELY. THE CONVENIENCE OF THE 1ST FLOOR, ALONG W/ A BEAUTIFULY UPDATED UNIT, W/ A POOL VIEW, MADE FOR A GREAT VISIT. BOTH BAY AND BEACH, 2 POOLS, AND VERY HOSPITABLE HOSTS !! VERY NICE...
We stayed for the first time on beautiful Siesta Key and had a great time. The condo was very nice - updated and lovely furnishings - one of the best king-sized best I've ever slept on. The owners (Phil and Joan) were a delight to deal with. Phil met us upon arrival and took his time showing us all through the condo, the grounds at Bay Tree and even walking us over to Turtle Beach (great shelling) which is directly across the street from the building. The kitchen was well stocked, beach needs (chairs, umbrellas, coolers) were taken care of - 2 coaster bikes are supplied with the condo which took the worry away from transporting bikes with us. We biked nearly every afternoon to Access 13 (Point of Rocks) which was approx. 3 miles away from the condo where we would lock up the bikes and walk for miles/hours on beautiful Crescent and Siesta Beach. For longer bike rides (Legacy Trail to Venice Beach) we simply rented hybrid bikes for the day. Siesta Key is very busy but Bay Tree is located at the south end of the key with much less traffic than the north end. Siesta Key Village is a fun little town with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Great little fish market at the strip mall close to Point of Rocks and a Publix, Costco etc. just over the causeway to Sarasota. All in all we couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable month. Near the end of our stay the owners contacted us asking if we had any suggestions - the next day they showed up with everything I had mentioned on my list plus replaced one of the bicycles because I had said that it probably could use a tune-up. That's how great these owners were. I hope that we can return next year for even longer. Thanks again to Phil and Joan for sharing your lovely home with us.
Thank you!!! It was very nice meeting you both. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay in our little piece of paradise. We welcome you to stay again anytime. Joan and Phil
