Our Mermaid Beach Cottage is only one half block from the the ocean. This is not a condo or apartment - it is a charming two bedroom cottage on a slow safe one way lane. Our home is clean, fully furnished and located right below the Lovers Point Ocean Vista.

This seaside town is home to the Monarch Butterfly Reserve and some of the most spectacular views of the coastline. Stroll to Lover's Point or walk the few short blocks into town for a great breakfast or lunch and shop for unique gifts! Jump on the free trolley (stops close to the cottage) and it will take you to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The sleepy Harbor Seals may be beached at the Hopkins Marine Station reserve for you to marvel at. Or, walk or bike along the coast about a mile. Your two free unlimited guest passes will get you right into the Aquarium VIP members entrance without waiting in line. These are a $80.00 value for each use!

Explore historic Cannery Row and continue on to Fisherman's Wharf where some of the best seafood restaurants await you! The world famous 17 mile drive could not be any closer and literally begins a stones throw from the cottage. Begin your scenic journey and head toward the world renowned 'Pebble Beach Golf Resort' which features the AT&T Pro Am Golf Tournament every February. Bring your clubs - the Pacific Grove 18 hole Golf Course is only a couple of blocks away from the cottage and the green fees are very reasonable. Spend some time in charming Carmel By The Sea which contain wonderful art galleries, restaurants and of course the 'Eastwood Family' presence. The Asilomar retreat and Point Pinos lighthouse offer amazing ocean scenery.

If you have time - take the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway drive south to Point Lobos and continue down into Big Sur! Surf City USA 'Santa Cruz' with it's famous Beach Boardwalk is just a short trip north! Be sure to stop at Capitola on the way, one of the cutest unique coastal towns you've ever seen!!

We recommend a minimum stay of three nights since there is so much to see and it goes by way too quickly, once you get here you won't want to leave!
