This comfortably furnished dog friendly Hatteras Island vacation rental is only two lots from ocean front. Panoramic views of the ocean and sound are abundant from Sea View Cottage. The first level offers all three bedrooms, one with 2S and a TV/DVD player, one with a Q and a King master bedroom with private bath and TV/DVD, laundry room and a full hall bath. On this level you will also find a large shaded sundeck. Level two is a spacious great room with access to both the furnished sundeck and covered porch. The kitchen is well equipped including fridge with ice maker, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, crab steamer pot, crab crackers and pickers, salad spinner, garlic press, lots of pots, pans, utensils, and dishes.The rooftop deck offers 360 degree views of breathtaking sunsets and sunrises. The under house area offers a concrete patio, fish cleaning table, a grill area, and an enclosed shower with hot water and a separate changing area. Directions
From Hwy 12 on Hatteras Island, turn left on Mac Oca Drive just past Camp Hatteras Camp Ground.
Sea View Cottage is on the right toward the end of the road, third house back from the beach.
Neighborhood
It is a water sports paradise, and all the equipment is available for rent nearby. Kite surfing and/or windsurfing lessons and rentals are available within walking distance.
Surf fishing and deep sea fishing are popular.
A new bike trail takes you through town, all the way to the Salvo Day Use Area beach on the Pamlico sound. This beach is perfect for the little ones, with warm shallow water and plenty of sand to play in, picnic tables and grills.
A 10 minute walk from the house, the KOA has built a beautiful long pier over the sound, and anyone is welcome to sit in the gazebo to watch the sun set over the water.
The Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station is just up the road. See how rescues at sea were done a century ago.
Mini golf, a links golf course, massage, fitness center, bird watching, surf fishing, marina, deep sea fishing, hang gliding, Light houses, Manteo Aquarium, The Lost Colony live theater and historical exhibits, the Wright Brother's Memorial , and ferry ride to Ocracoke island are all available nearby.
Bird watching on the beach, on the Pea Island national wildlife refuge, or even from the decks is world class. We have a Purple Martin house in the front yard that is always filled with feathery visitors.
