Located on the border of the Midi-Pyrenées and the Languedoc-Rousillon lies in the south of the Tarn our village Cahuzac, in a hilly landscape at the foot of the nature reserve “la Montagne Noire” (= the Black Mountain).
In the immediate vicinity there are the small idyllic villages and towns with numerous restaurants and shops. Like Sorèze (1,5 mi) with its Abbey-school dating from the 12the century located in a historic site.
Revel (4 mi) with its beautiful old wooden hall surmounted by a belfry, offers weekly shade to a market that is described as one of the 100 most beautiful markets of France.
Something further away are the larger tourist towns CARCASSONNE (27 mi), TOULOUSE (34 mi) and ALBI (37 mi), ideal for a day trip.
