A unique and beautiful country holiday home in a very quiet area of the Monterone district in Ischia. Just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Forio and beaches, as well as 300 meters from the bus stop, it is conveniently positioned to serve as a home base for excursions to the countryside and mountains. This small house is an oasis of calm, complete with outdoor space to enjoy the magnificent view of the sun setting behind Mount Epomeo.

The house has a large furnished patio with table-tennis for your entertainment, table for dinner "al fresco,” a lawned garden surrounded by typical Mediterranean plants, and a fragrant variety of jasmine. A small outdoor kitchen is also at your disposal. From the garden, crossing the patio you enter the living room, complete with a sofa bed and indoor kitchen area. Enjoy a traditional Italian “focolare,” lovingly restored with ancient volcanic stone, perfect for cooking or as a fireplace.

A few steps lead to the bedroom which is furnished with a double bed (140/204) and a bathroom containing a large shower, fitted with a hand shower and fixed shower head, toilet, and sink.

Completely renovated at the end of 2019 and named "Oma Koti," which in Suomi means "my home," this very sunny house is part of a beautiful stone farmhouse built in the 1950's by the renowned architect Fritz Zollinger (architect of Poseidon thermal park). The owners occupy the adjacent property for part of the year. The resulting meticulous restoration retains a true rural spirit whilst inclining towards a modern, comfortable style that is perfectly suited for a holiday home.

This dwelling is located at the end of a small uphill road with no vehicle access, but there is parking for a car nearby. The owners are happy to help with reservations for taxi or car hire.
