Make your way down well-maintained dirt roads, past the association farm, through the meadows, beyond the stone wall, and you have arrived! Our three-story post and beam home marries proximity to downtown Vineyard Haven with rural privacy and beauty. Sited on almost 4 acres, the house affords expansive views of meadows, woods, and landscaped grounds from the common area's wall of French doors and windows, large deck, and hot tub. Our home is located in Pilot Hill Farm on the Vineyard's North Shore, and our guests enjoy 75 acres of association common land, including our private beach on Vineyard Sound (a ten-minute walk from the house), walking trails, and produce and eggs from the small working farm. The house is roomy and sun-drenched, yet cozy - thoughtfully designed with light wood floors, soaring spaces, and ample wall and ceiling windows that artfully merge with the post and beam construction. The furnishings include family heirlooms, hand-crafted pieces, fine art and rugs. You'll discover ample spots to either gather or find private time -- the sitting area off the kitchen, living room with fireplace, den/TV room with fireplace, third-floor study, and basement fitness/TV room. Foodies revel in our well-stocked kitchen and pantry, with modern appliances, cookware galore, and expansive storage. The spacious master suite includes a fireplace, dressing room, and full bath. The remaining bedrooms share a full bath, and the powder room is on the first floor. The expansive deck has a retractable awning and hot tub with adjacent outdoor shower, while the kitchen terrace is the perfect breakfast spot. Plenty of room for outdoor games or a snooze in the hammock on the landscaped grounds, which include flower, herb, and vegetable gardens. Miles of country roads and trails for hiking, jogging, mountain biking, or strolling are right outside the door. We provide two mountain bikes, two single kayaks, and spinning bike and elliptical machine. You will enjoy our Vineyard haven!
