Bedroom #1 is en suite with a walk in Shower Cabinet, and the Main Bathroom is complete with standard-size bathtub plus overhead shower. There is full Cable/Satellite TV service and full Wireless Broadband Internet for your use, plus all mod cons and fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, & separate dryer; with private underground parking available for 1 car/SUV. Overall size of the apartment is apx 900sq ft, and we would be so Delighted to warmly welcome you in for this very special time in Dublin City and Ireland.
Minimum stay is 5 to 7 nights, and the standard Weekly Price for 4 persons is euro980/- per week, plus a one-time preps/fresh linens & towels fee of euro150/-, and parking if required at euro45/wk. Failte Ireland /Tourism Ireland approved.
The apartment is located within a private, gated complex on Cork Street - a short walk to the St Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church Cathedrals quarters of town, where you are genuinely in the heart of Dublin City! Our location is excellent for doing without a car - simply hop onto the regular Dublin City Bus services outside our door and arrive in minutes at Christ Church Cathedral area for the Dublinia Vikings Tour and Burrdock’s, Dublin's famous fish 'n chip shop! Stroll around the corner to Dame Street for rambles through Temple Bar; or cross the street to the beautiful Civic Hall and Dublin Castle (the Chester Beatty Library is located in here). Catch some theatre or comedy at the Olympia Theatre or sip a glass of wine overlooking the cobbled side streets of Lower Temple Bar - music, people & activities all around you. Continue down Dame Street to College Green and Trinity College (the Book of Kells), and then over to the Grafton Street and its wondrous myriad side streets - Wicklow Street, George's Street & George's Arcade, Dawson Street & Dawson Arcade, for an immersion in retail wanderings! At the top of Grafton Street is the busy indoor Stephen's Green shopping center, and to the left is the luxurious Shelbourne Hotel (Afternoon Tea & Intl Newspapers!). Around the corner is Kildare Street & Government Buildings: catch a public session in the Dáil, our House of Parliament, and not to be missed are visits to the excellent National Museum & National Gallery on Kildare Street and Nassau Street.
Back at the Apartment: the Guinness Storehouse & Museum is in glorious view from the bedroom windows! and is just a 3 minute walk away, where you can enjoy an excellent Exhibition, historic tour and of course - the unique taste of Ireland in the Gravity Bar.
Also a short walk away is Francis Street, hub of Dublin’s antiques market, and at the top of this is Thomas Street - National College of Art & Design, and famous Vicar Street Night Club.
The Luas tramline (Red Line) stops at our local ‘Fatima’ station where you can head off into deep inner city quarters of Dublin, in particular fabulous shops & browsing on Henry Street & Jervis Street. Hop off at Heuston Stn to catch the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA Kilmainham); or hop off at Museum stop for the Museum of Ireland Historic Decorative Arts at Collins Barracks; the ancient Fruit & Vegetable Markets at ‘Smithfield’ stop. With many more fascinating museums and galleries throughout the city center and all so accessible from our location on Cork Street. With our useful guides, you will enjoy a wonderful holiday break or business trip in Ireland - in guaranteed style and comfort.
We also prepare a most generous Welcome Basket of fresh groceries to get you started, so no need to worry about immediate grocery shopping on arrival! And there is a busy Corner Shop just below our complex and a superb large Lidl supermarket just across the road.
Travelling nationwide? - simply catch the Luas Tram to Heuston Station which plugs you into a major railway hub - destinations Galway, Limerick, Cork, Sligo... Or continue on the Luas to its terminus at Amiens Street / Connolly Station, and catch mainline trains for Belfast and Derry. Or switch to the local DART Light Rail system for a tour along Dublin's north or south coastlines. Allow for taking lunch in the fishing villages/port of Howth or Dun Laoghaire - these are wonderful full- or half-day trip options...
