Enjoy the serenity of this prime beach on Old Mission Peninsula in the heart of vacation paradise. One bedroom updated guesthouse on the beach in a neighborhood of mostly summer residences 10 miles from Traverse City, MI. Fabulous restaurants, wineries, biking and hiking are on the Peninsula or nearby. More info at bowersharborgsthouse.com (note spelling). Off season rates: $225/week night, $260/weekend night, $1,470/week. Summer rates: $300/week night, $350/weekend night, $1,750/week. $90 cleaning fee and $50 pet fee for approved small to medium dog.

Directions

From the corner of Garfield Rd. and Munson Ave. in Traverse City, MI, go north on M-37. Center Rd. through the center of Old Mission Peninsula, or Peninsula Drive along West Bay can be taken to Bowers Harbor Park Rd. (10 miles). Neahtawanta Rd begins at that intersection of Bowers Harbor Park Rd and Peninsula Dr. and goes behind the public access. We are about 1/4 mile from the intersection on the water side.

Neighborhood

Our vacation rental guesthouse is beside our house, both facing the beach. Bowers Harbor Marina is in view. Our neighborhood is a mix of older and newer summer houses with some year-round. Neahtawanta Rd. is quiet, and ends in a long time summer resort area, making a beautiful 5 mile hiking or biking loop along West Bay from our house.

Old Mission Peninsula and the Grand Traverse area are a vacation paradise. Very popular are our fabulous restaurants and wineries, some within walking distance from our guesthouse. Other area attractions are the wonderful villages of Eld Rapids, Suttons Bay, Northport, Leeland, Frankfort and others. Petoskey, Charlevois and Harbor Springs are in day trip distance.

  Payment Options: Checks
Security Deposit: A $100 damage/extra people deposit is collected on arrival and mailed back immediately after departure. The only problem we have ever had is guests bringing in extra people and we like to keep it quiet.
