General Terms & Policies:
Terms of Agreement
Arrival / Departure Times: Check in time is 3:00 P.M. and check out time is 10:00 A.M.
No exceptions, unless approved by management, prior to day of arrival. Cottages must be vacated and key left on the counter. There is a $25.00 per hour penalty imposed for each hour in which check out is delayed. Our cottages are stocked for multiple days and daily housekeeping is not included. If supplies are needed, please request. For weekly or long-term stays: laundry is exchanged every Monday & Thursdays.
Additional person charges: When a reservation is made, each unit has an allowed number of guests it can accommodate. If there are more than allowed, you will be charged $25 per person, per night. Outside guests are not permitted unless you get approval at office, prior to their arrival and there would be a guest fee included.
Before Checking Out: When you leave, please make sure the cottage is left in the same condition you found it. All trash should be gathered and taken out to the dumpster, dishes cleaned and put away or a $50 charge will be assessed. Fees also will be assessed for cottages left trashed.
SMOKING: ALL ROOMS ARE NON-SMOKING. NO smoking is allowed inside the units. A $250.00 fine will be charged if smoke is detected in the room.
Pool/Deck/Patio: Because there are no lifeguards or other attendants at the swimming pool, guests are expressly responsible for the safety of themselves, family members and guests using swimming pool. The pool rules are clearly posted in the pool area and must be strictly followed.
BBQ grill use: BBQ grills may be rented for $10 per stay. Tenant assumes responsibility to use the BBQ grill safely and to make sure children are protected from it.
Risk of Loss: Pirate’s Pointe Resort will not be responsible for injury to guests or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind brought onto the property.
Boat Dockage: Pirate’s Pointe Resort will not be held liable for any damages to boats tied to the dock. Boat owners assume responsibility for tying up their boat and ensuring they allow for tide changes. Boat owners will be responsible for all personal property left on their boat or on the dock, i.e., Poles, GPS’s, nets, gear, etc.
Music and Cell Phones: Do not bring portable music devices to the pool or dock which could disturb other guests. Music should be contained within your unit. If you bring your cell phone, please be considerate of other guests and leave the pool area when you are having a lengthy conversation. NO LOUD BEHAVIOR WILL BE TOLERATED ON THE PROPERTY, AT ANY TIME.
PETS: Pets must be fully trained and appropriately restrained by guests. Pets must be kept on a leash when in the resort unless it is in the guests’ room. Pets must be under control of their owners, at all times. If pets are left in the unit unattended, they must be crated! Pets are not allowed in the pool area of the resort, for any reason. State law carriers a $1,500 fine. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet on resort property and in the neighborhood. Before you leave, please make sure the area is cleaned up or you will be charged $250 fee. Any barking must be curtailed to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced. Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their pet. Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pirates Pointe Resort and its operator from any and all liability and/or damage suffered as a result of the guest’s pet. The resort reserves the right to charge the guest’s account commensurate to the cost of such damages. There is a $50 charge for each pet. If you are staying 5 days or more the charge is $100.00.
NOTICE TO PET OWNERS: PETS IN OUR BEDS: We love to accommodate our guests by being “pet friendly”, however pets in our beds is not sanitary for other guests. Guests whom allow pets to sleep in our beds will be charged a cleaning fee of $100, for the duvets, pillows, quilts and mattresses. PETS ‘PEEING’ ON OUR BEDS OR IN OUR ROOMS, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! If your pet does either, you will be charged a minimum of $750 to REPLACE the mattress, sheets, pillows, duvet, quilts or any carpets, couches and chairs. Whatever managements deems necessary to get the cottage back to the same condition, when you arrived. Pets don’t like to be left alone. They are like kids, they protest in their own way.
Cottage Property and/or Damage: Do not take, remove or rearrange any furniture/décor. Etc. You will be charged for any missing items. Any damage done to the rental of any cottage unit inside or out will be the responsibility of the signing party. The signing party will pay for all damages caused by his or her abuse or neglect.

Management reserves the right to refuse services to anyone.
By signing this Registration, I acknowledge the following:
I understand that any cancellations must be received no later than 7 prior to my arrival. Failure to cancel within this time frame will result in loss of deposit. For long term stays, 90 days prior notice, with a 50% deposit. Failure to cancel within this time frame will result in loss of deposit. Holidays require a deposit of 50% and ten days’ notice for cancellation or you will forfeit the deposit. There will be an assessment of $50 for any returned or bounced checks.
I understand there are no refunds for late check-ins or early departures.
I understand that there is a $50.00 charge for a lost key.
I understand that all rooms are non-smoking and that there is $250.00 fee that will be charged if smoke is detected in the room.
I understand that at times during heavy rains the plumbing at the resort may drain very slowly. Please do not continue to use and contact management immediately.
I authorize Pirate’s Pointe Resort to bill me for legitimate charges and sub-charges (charges applied after departure) which may include unpaid stay charges and/or tax, additional housekeeping and property damage/replacement.
